We’re glad you’ve decided to start a long-lasting patient relationship with us at Saratoga Smiles. Our practice welcomes new patients and works to create a positive experience for you. Part of easing your concerns is explaining what you can expect from our practice and your care. Let’s start by going over the components of the first visit.
Our Office Experience
You can expect to feel at ease during your first visit and every visit after that. We care about the dental treatments but also about the person behind them. We take steps to address your concerns and create a relaxing atmosphere to overcome fear and provide a positive experience. You’ll feel comfortable while we take care of your dental checkups and treatment. Whether this means we answer your questions or we offer you sedation dentistry, we are prepared to help you relax about your dental visit. Simply be open with us about your needs and fears so we can properly address them.
During your first visit, you’ll become acquainted with our facility, our amenities and our professional staff. Whether you’re coming alone or bringing your whole family as new patients, we will create a welcoming experience that shows you the level of care and comfort our practice is all about. We consider this first visit the start of a long-term relationship with you.
Our Dental Care
Of course, your first visit is also about your dental health. It’s the time for us to understand the condition of your oral health and determine your needs to manage current problems, prevent issues from developing and provide a continuing state of optimal health.
At Saratoga Smiles, we believe in performing comprehensive dental exams. During your first visit, we will perform x-rays, gum measurements and additional assessments of your teeth and gums. We want to get a complete picture of your oral health to find problems early and address them. We can also determine any improvements you could make to your oral hygiene and educate you on proper techniques. Overall, our aim is to help you prevent dental conditions and to manage or treat current problems.
During this visit, you’ll have the chance to ask questions and voice concerns. This is the perfect time to let us know if you think you have certain issues with your oral health. You could also come to us for a second opinion on recommendations from another dentist.
This visit gives us the information we need to create a customized treatment plan for you. Maybe you only need a cleaning and to follow basic recommendations for regular checkups, or you might have dental issues that need treatment, in which case we can design a plan together that fits your needs.
